Services Provided :

The Redcliff Victim Services Unit Mission is to aid and assist victims of crime and tragedy by providing a community support program in partnership with the Redcliff RCMP.  Our primary objective is to ensure that persons referred by the RCMP, who have been victimized or are in crisis: receive support, information and appropriate referral subsequent to their victimization. Victims who have not been referred by RCMP may come to the Victim Services Unit office for a confidential consultation with the Coordinator or an Advocate.

Our organization has a Board of Directors who is responsible for obtaining funding for the program through grants from the Solicitor General, and fund raising activities, such as Casinos, and golf tournaments. The funding supports the education and community involvement of the Victim Service Coordinator and the Victim Advocates.

Our Advocates are our Champions!  They help people at a time when individuals may be experiencing the worst moments of their life.  The identity of our clients is confidential and they are treated with respect and compassion no matter what the circumstances are.

All of our Advocates are provided with special training and have security clearance from the RCMP.

If anyone is interested in becoming an Advocate, please contact Terry Carlson, Coordinator for information.

If anyone is interested in becoming a Board member please contact Carol Cranston, Secretary at (403) 526-9141.
